The KY 143 Crab Orchard Creek Bridge (4.4 mm) in Webster County opened to traffic late Friday afternoon following a lengthy closure.
The bridge closed in November 2022 after failing a routine bridge inspection. Inspectors found considerable deterioration to the bridge’s substructure that was beyond what could be repaired, forcing the closure.
Demolition of the old bridge and construction of the new bridge began in late summer. The bridge was reopened to traffic late Friday evening, November 7th.
